While we’re still waiting on the official announcement from SEGA, the release date for Sonic x Shadow Generations appears to be imminent. New leaks point to the game launching on October 25, 2024. On the record, it’s due out on Switch later in 2024.
Well-known leaker billbil-kun put out the claim on social media. That was followed up with another leak from MysteryLupin, who not only posted the boxart – see above – but also a new set of screenshots. The packaging image seems to reveal that copies include Gerald Robotnik’s journal covering Shadow’s creation and a Sonic Adventure legacy skin.
SEGA could be sharing the release date for Sonic x Shadow Generations during the Summer Game Fest presentation tomorrow. When the news is made official, we’ll update this post.
