Hi-Rez Studios and Titan Forge Studios have finally announced the sequel to their 2014 free-to-play MOBA, so you may be wondering when the Smite 2 release date will be. Luckily, we’re here to cover just that to give you an idea of when the exciting mythological multiplayer follow-up is making its way to gaming consoles.
Now, since the game was only recently announced by its developers, they’ve revealed that they will initially be holding a Smite 2 Alpha at some point, though they have yet to specify when. That said, if you want to know when we expect Smite 2 to launch, keep reading to find out.
When is the Smite 2 release date?
We expect the Smite 2 release date to occur sometime in late 2025 or early 2026. Even though the game’s official launch has yet to be announced by its developers, its now-confirmed Alpha period will more than likely be followed by an even longer Beta phase. This means the sequel won’t be fully released until after several months of work.
Will Smite 2 have an early access period?
As mentioned above, Smite 2 will have an early access phase after its developers announced an upcoming Alpha period. Unfortunately, they have yet to reveal when it will take place. This means you’ll need to remain patient until Hi-Rez Studios and Titan Forge Studios have provided more details.
What platforms will Smite 2 be available on?
These are the platforms we expect Smite 2 to be available on:
- PC
- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox One
- Xbox Series X|S
- Nintendo Switch
However, since this has yet to be confirmed by the developers, the game’s list of compatible platforms could still change, especially since it’s being made with Unreal Engine 5. Nevertheless, we will continue to update this page with the latest information once they’ve announced it, so stay tuned.
Will Smite 2 be free-to-play?
Yes, we expect Smite 2 to be free-to-play, much like its predecessor. However, the sequel will likely also be peppered with microtransactions, such as skins and gems, similar to 2014’s Smite, though this has yet to be confirmed by Hi-Rez Studios and Titan Forge Studios.
