Slapshot Rebound has officially released on Steam today after nearly 4 years in Early Access. The physics-based 3v3 ice hockey game challenges players, giving them total control of their avatars on the controller or mouse and keyboard.
Hang out with fellow players at The Pond, an open lobby included in the full release. Previously limited to custom lobbies, you can now enter The Pond while queuing for a match or directly from the main menu. Enjoy casual play with friends and community members, or use it to keep your skills sharp between matches. The Pond features an ice hockey rink, an air hockey rink, two target practice areas and a sumo minigame for added variety.
If you’ve been playing Early Access, you’re already familiar with the team’s schedule of bi-weekly and monthly updates. However, the latest patch notes contain a few additional highlights worth noting.
Also with the release of the 1.0 update comes the start of Season 1. A soft reset has been applied to skill ratings for the new Ranked season, and unranked players can establish their initial ranking after playing 10 matches. Players can strive for the top spots in the refreshed Top 50 regional and worldwide leaderboards. Daily tasks are now accessible to advance through Season 1 pass, offering over 50 new cosmetic items unlockable across both the free and premium tracks.
