The 90-year-old actress posted a caption titled The Wall of Life: Images and Stories of This Wonderful Life.
In its pages, she reveals her love life, which was filled with high-profile names, from Hollywood heartthrob Robert Mitchum to Soviet filmmaker Andrei Konchalovsky.
Her many affairs overlapped with her apparent marriage to businessman Steve Parker, who was her husband from 1952 until their divorce in 1984.
However, the book also presents a picture of Shirley as a plucky Hollywood star who, despite her best efforts, cannot win.

'Oh, I love Nicholas. I love Nicholas. He asked me for advice about a star. “Yes, I liked him a lot, but he wasn't attracted to me,” she said.
