Bethesda Game Studios has confirmed that the first story expansion for Starfield, Shattered Space, will launch in 2024. It confirmed that more details on the “major expansion” will be revealed next year. Players can look forward to new locations, gear, story content and “much more.”
Last September, director Todd Howard was unwilling to confirm when DLC would be released, calling it a “secret.” As such, Starfield is planned to receive a “lot” of DLC, with Bethesda planning to “do things of varying sizes.”
Of course, the development is working on other updates for the sci-fi RPG. Starting in February 2024, it will launch updates roughly every six weeks. Upcoming features include gameplay options for adjusting carrying capacity, ship damage, vendor credits, and new survival mechanics. There will also be new options and decorations for shipbuilders, “all-new” ways to travel, and city maps.
Starfield is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Check out our review here. It recently topped 13 million players, with over 22 million days of playtime recorded.
