It’s been a good few years for Dark Souls developer FROMSOFTWARE, which has launched a number of successful titles outside of its core franchise. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the latest to reach a major milestone, having officially sold over 10 million copies across the world, the developer announced earlier tonight.

FROMSOFTWARE made the announcement on its official Twitter account, where it simply stated the accomplishment and thanked players for their support so far. There’s not much to be said, as the amount of units sold in a little over four years is fairly impressive. At launch, the game was highly regarded for its visuals and the evolution of the developer’s darker style.

This milestone marks Sekiro passing and meeting several other titles from FROMSOFTWARE, including Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne, and more. It shows an appreciation for the title amid a time when FROMSOFTWARE is launching a range of impressive games.

Sekiro isn’t even one of FROMSOFTWARE’s more popular titles, with Elden Ring dominating the industry and award shows following a release in early 2022. As long as the developer continues to break its own records and release games that are received well by players, it will likely continue to see success. That quality and complexity is what has led its audience to consistently expect good quality titles.
