Scott Mills has revealed the kind words Liam Payne's father Jeff had for his children's fans following the One Direction star's death.
The 51-year-old DJ explained how Jeff thanked fans for all the messages left on the back of his Radio 2 social media post.
Liam fell 45 feet from the third floor on Wednesday in the courtyard of a Casa Sur hotel in the Argentine capital. He was only 31 years old when doctors confirmed his death.
Scott said on his show on Tuesday: “You won't mind saying this, I texted Jeff, Liam's dad, when I was in Argentina and he said he posted our tribute to Liam to the family last week.” WhatsApp group.'
“He thought all the messages and comments you put under the video on Radio 2 Instagram were fantastic.”
Scott Mills has revealed what Liam Payne's father Jeff said about his children's fans following the One Direction star's death.

Scott continued: 'I wanted to thank you all for all the lovely and heartfelt messages you sent. He has read them all.
“For him to reach out and say thank you at a difficult time when he and Liam's loved ones are suffering so much shows what I know. ..what kind of family are they.
'So, our dear Jeff, we send everything to you and the rest of the family. And to all his friends. We all keep thinking about you.
It was determined that the singer died instantly from multiple injuries after falling 45 feet from a third floor.
His father, Jeff, reportedly flew to the country to arrange his son's return, the Associated Press reported.
Payne was seen outside the hotel paying tribute to fans by reading letters and stopping around flowers, photographs and candles.
The singer's family paid tribute to Liam on Thursday. They said they were “heartbroken” following his death: “Liam will live in our hearts forever and we will remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul.”
Liam had arrived in South America with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy on September 30, planning to spend just “five days” in Argentina and stay two weeks.

Jeff was seen paying tribute to fans outside the hotel, reading letters and standing around flowers, photographs and candles.
Police were called to the hotel following reports of an aggressive person under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Shortly afterwards, workers heard a loud bang in the hotel courtyard before the Wolverhampton-born singer's body was found shortly after 5pm local time.
Argentine police and prosecutors investigating the tragedy are treating it as an “unsolved death” as they continue to pursue the drug dealer who supplied him that night.
Preliminary results of toxicology tests carried out on Liam's remains revealed cocaine, benzodiazepines, crack cocaine and 'pink cocaine', a combination of methamphetamine, ketamine and MDMA.
Autopsy results on his body have been completed, while tests continue on the white powder, traces of chemical crystals and prescription medications found in his boutique hotel suite.
