The synopsis reads: 'Follow the stories of a group of Londoners during the events of the Second World War bombing of the British capital'.
It comes after Sayers recently admitted that she and husband Jack Loden had 'high expectations' for each other after the pair worked together on her new film.
In The Outrun, she played Rona, a vulnerable young woman in the early stages of recovery who moves to the Orkney Islands after being treated for alcoholism at an alcoholism rehab center.
A subject close to her heart, the actress – who admits she's seen the effects of addiction on some of her closest friends – co-produced the film with husband Loden, whom she married in July.
The couple's very Scottish ceremony was confirmed by a record in Scottish civil marriage registers.
Sayers says she enjoys a strong creative bond with 'companion' Jake, 34, who she refers to by his full name with gusto.
She told the Sunday Times: 'Jack Lowden and I have tried to oversee the representation of Rona, nothing else is important except for her Madhu but to remember that she is human so anyone can see themselves in her.
'If you find people you like and you believe in creatively, why wouldn't you want to keep working with them?'

'We have very high expectations of each other – when I tried Rona's Arcadian accent for The Outrun, she said, “You're not doing that, are you?”'
The actress admits that having been on the 'receiving end' of the pain and damage caused by drugs, she was able to draw from a deep well of experience while preparing for the role.
She said: 'I've seen people I love change because of addiction. You feel a sense of helplessness when you look at someone you love – friends my age and especially someone I'm close to.
'It's that switch that's etched into my brain forever, when someone's eyes glaze over and they disappear.
'If you become second best to Madhu, you will be disgusted, so I had to put my own feelings aside for this role. And I don't need to be angry about it.'
