There were many fantastic video game releases in 2023, but one of the biggest things to happen last year was merely the release of a less-than-two-minute trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6. Ever since the trailer’s release fans have analyzed every microscopic detail while falling head over heels in love with the playable protagonist, Lucia. The voice actor for Lucia in GTA 6 has possibly been found, and she’s gotten fans hoping for the return of a feature that has long been absent from the series.
Although less than two minutes long, the GTA 6 trailer is magnificent. Fans are amazed at the insanely realistic body physics of a woman running on the beach, and the trailer recreated in Grand Theft Auto 5 really highlights the unbelievable upgrade in graphics. Away from the glitz and glamour though, there has been some controversy such as the real-life Florida Joker threatening legal action.
While the trailer largely focuses on the beautiful sights and crazy society belonging to Vice City, it also introduces the new female protagonist Lucia. Fans have possibly discovered her voice actor, and these same fans are hoping for the return of a feature that has been missing from the series since San Andreas.
Rumored GTA 6 Lucia voice actor
The rumored voice actor for Lucia in GTA 6 is Manni L. Perez. There are several posts on Reddit identifying her as the possible actor for the new female protagonist. Her face is pretty much identical to Lucia’s in-game model, and there is also an audio snippet of an interview where she can’t discuss a major project because of an NDA. Her voice sounds like the character as well, and she’s also featured in the Law and Order television series that has previously included Ned Luke and Steven Ogg from GTA 5, as well as Roger Clark from Red Dead Redemption 2.
Of course, it’s not official that she is the voice actor. Nothing is official until Rockstar unveils the cast, but there are no other strong rumors as of writing. Before Manni L. Perez, one rumor was Alexandra C. Echavarri Lecároz, but she confirmed on Instagram that she instead plays Warehouse Boss Lupe in GTA Online.
Another rumor was Far Cry 6 actress Leslie Luvlet. Funnily enough, she and her Far Cry 6 character, Zenya, do share a resemblance to Lucia, but Luvlet has explicitly denied she is in GTA 6. Manni L. Perez is definitely the strongest candidate right now, but she is not official. Whoever the actor ends up being, they will surely deliver an exceptional performance as all of the leads in GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 were sublime.
GTA 6 fans hope for the return of long-missing feature
Some Grand Theft Auto fans would like to see the return of gyms in GTA 6. This is a feature that has been missing from the series since San Andreas. In San Andreas, players could visit three different gyms to improve stats such as stamina as well as change the physical appearance of Carl. There were different machines and equipment to use, and it was a great feature that sadly never came back.
In identifying Manni L. Perez as the possible voice actor for Lucia, some fans noticed gym reels on her now-depleted Instagram page. This got fans reminiscing about the feature and hoping for it to come back.
One of the best aspects of the GTA 6 trailer is the different body types for almost every man and female NPC. There’s a muscular bloke jogging on the beach and then there’s a guy with a beer belly drenched in mud. As stated by fans on Reddit, it would be neat to see the return of gyms to drastically change appearance as well as affect stats such as stamina. Some fans would like to see it applicable to Lucia and the male protagonist named Jason according to leaks, meanwhile, others would like to see it restricted to Grand Theft Auto 6 Online.
While there’s no confirmation of whether gyms will return or not, Red Dead Redemption 2 players could change the body shape of Arthur Morgan. Eating too little would make him skinny while eating too much would make him overweight. So, seeing as it happened in Rockstar’s most recent new game, there is a chance something similar and more elaborate could happen in GTA 6.
In other GTA 6 news, fans are craving an overhauled police AI similar to Red Dead Redemption 2. Fans are also frustrated over the lack of a PC launch come 2025.
