Resulting in Robo Rally Transformers and GI Joe: Battle For The Arctic Circle.
The Robo Rally Transformers Announcement
In an official press release, Renegade Game Studios provides details on Robo Rally Transformers. As the name implies, the game is still about controlling robots as they navigate racecourses with a Transformers twist.
In this case, the titular robots in disguise have arrived on planet Velocitron to participate in the Speedia 500. Whoever wins the race earns the right to rule the planet. If the racers want to reach the end of the course alive, they’ll have to use not just their driving skills, but their weapons and alt modes to stay one step ahead.
Robo Rally Transformers will contain recognizable characters and changes to the game’s systems. You can play six different Transformers characters, including Optimus Prime and Megatron. The game’s maps will include new elements like Buildings, High Rises, Bombs, and Jump Ramps. Also, there are new “Drift” program cards.
Robo Rally Transformers is available for pre-order right now. It is currently being sold at an MSRP of $55.00 and is set to ship in May 2024.
For those not as fond of transforming robots, there is GI Joe: Battle for the Arctic Circle. Cobra has set up a base in the Arctic Circle and threaten the world with their Weather Dominator. It is up to you to coordinate and deploy GI Joe to stop Cobra without pulling the rest of the world into the larger conflict.
GI Joe: Battle for the Arctic Circle is powered by the WWII tabletop war game Axis & Allies with some slight changes. While the Joes have forces across, land, sea, and air, those playing Cobra can use the Weather Dominator to freeze the sea, creating convenient bridges or blocking pathways.
GI Joe: Battle for the Arctic Circle will contain three campaign scenarios, and over 100 figures including iconic GI Joe characters and vehicles. The game is available for pre-order at an MSRP of $60.00 and is set to ship in May 2024.
