Cygames’ open beta for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is available now for PS4, PS5 and PC with crossplay enabled. The first session is playable until later today at 5 PM PT, while the second is live from November 11th, 11 PM PT, to November 12th.
Playable characters include Gran, Lancelot, Zooey, Narmaya, Djeeta, Katalina, Vaseraga and other usual suspects from the first game. Anila and Siegfried are the new fighters, so players can go hands-on and try their skills in Casual and Lobby Matches. Hit up Training Mode to learn the new mechanics like Triple Attack and Dash Attack.
Finally, for those who want a break from all the fighting, there’s Grand Bruise Legends, where up to 30 players compete in Fall Guys-style mini-games. It’s also available offline against bots, which is nice.
As for the game, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising launches on December 14th. It was delayed from its November 30th launch date since recent system and balance changes had a “much larger” impact than anticipated, necessitating two additional weeks of polish.
