A fashion week feud has gone viral after two A-listers Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek appeared to collide at the Paris Balenciaga show, and now an expert has weighed in.
Nicole and Salma were standing in front of photographers and a heated argument broke out when Salma touched Australian star Katy Perry when they were asked to pose together.
Footage of the incident, which happened two weeks ago, surfaced online on Sunday and has sparked a social media frenzy over who was at fault.
Body language expert Gamble James has given her take on what really went down between the actresses, dubbing it 'Devil Wears Prada Badam Status Signals'.

'Paris Fashion Week shows are a hot-fussy mix of rarefied, super-A-list air and the sweaty underbelly of a rugby scrum,' explains Judy.
'Keeping your dignity and maintaining flawless elegance while waiting for hours are essential skills and here Nicole Kidman delivers a masterclass in defending A-list parameters and status signals against all odds.'
Shutting down talk of a possible history between the actresses, Judy believes the nasty altercation stemmed from an 'etiquette issue'.
“This body language seems like a great etiquette issue in terms of fashion house 'rules' that are as complex as the Da Vinci Code,” he suggests.
'Nicole appears to be happily posing with her pal Salma, with a dignified hand on her shoulders, baring their torsos. The problem may first arise when Nicole returns (with her face hidden from the cameras) to chat to Salma in a more personal-looking amiable way.'
'In another clip, Salma can be seen trying to pull Nicole away from her using a hand and arm, which, despite not touching, can be seen or felt as a guide and a little superior.'
“Nicole seems to push the hand away, as if to say, “I'll choose when I go or where I go,” some kind of quiet breach of etiquette.
'She turns to kiss Katie and looks at Salma indifferently. There seems to be a few pointers that look like a small flashpoint before Nicole goes in a different direction.

Judy concludes: 'Anyone who has seen The Devil Wears Prada should know that the body language of high fashion events should not be judged on the level of the common earth.'
Some tweeters agreed with Judy, suggesting that Salma was playing up her role as the boss's wife when she tried to lead Nicole on for photos. The actress is married to François-Henri Pinault, CEO of Balenciaga parent company Kering.
'Nicole works for Salma's husband and yes, Salma bosses her around. Besides, Nicole works for Salma's husband,' one commenter tweeted on Sunday.

Some online commentators have suggested that Nicole's brand ambassador deal could be in jeopardy after her clash with Balenciaga went viral.
French businessman Pinault Kering is the CEO of the company, which made its name in the timber business before acquiring a 42 percent stake in the Gucci Group in 1999.
The luxury goods company today includes Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta and Alexander McQueen. In 2005, Pinault, then 40, took over as CEO of Kering from his father.
Nicole meanwhile was appointed brand ambassador for Balenciaga in December 2023.
Writer and fashion commentator Louis Pisano wrote on Twitter: “From Nicole to Salma, whose husband-owned brand shows, I fear the Balenciaga deal is in jeopardy.”
