Rachel Sennot describes the 'embarrassment' of being arrested for carrying CBD

Rachel Sennott was recently arrested and she wishes she had a better story to tell about it.

“I got arrested for CBD in the Cayman Islands, which is embarrassing,” Chennott, 29, told Jimmy Fallon on The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday.

'It's really sad. You should be arrested for something cool. Like, protest, shutdown, arrest you for two things. Arrests for CBD, 'It's a bit pathetic.' she joked.

The Shiva baby star admitted the arrest was 'completely my fault' for failing to 'check international travel laws' before taking her mum cross.

Rachel – a comedy pilot in development at HBO was pulled aside to search her bags and when they found CBD, she was detained.

'They arrest me, they take my phone and my passport,' Chennott recalled, noting that the one phone call he was allowed to make was to someone in the Cayman Islands.

“Unfortunately I have yet to make friends in the Cayman Islands,” he deadpanned.

As the Bottoms star traveled separately from her friend, she had no choice but to sit and wait and 'hang out with the captors'.

'Honestly, super chill vibes,' before telling the story, Border Patrol agents watched her and began watching clips from her 2023 film Bottoms.

“They said, 'It's not for us,'” she said. 'Obviously, it's not for you. You're a border patrol officer, and it's for teenage lesbians.

Chennot didn't have to wait long, and her assistant Clary sensed something was wrong when she couldn't get hold of her.

She called the hotel and when she still hadn't checked in, the hotel told her Sennott was 'probably detained', prompting Claire to call Sennott's lawyer.

Rachel waved to her assistant and her parents in the audience and noted that this was the first time they had heard of the arrest.

'I got a mug. I asked, they won't send it,' she said. 'Imagine how incredible I am.'

'I got arrested for CBD in the Cayman Islands, it's a shame,' Sennott, 29, told Jimmy Fallon on The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday.

Chennault next appears on Saturday Night Live as Rosie Shuster – wife of SNL writer and Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels.

'This is the first time I've ever been cold in a movie,' he joked to People. 'I am never cold. I always have a panic attack. And in real life I'm always in a panic.'

'So it's very freeing to step into someone who is very confident and in control. So, I hope she likes it and has seen it.

“But I wanted to share her story with people because I feel like she was an integral part of making SNL what it is today,” he continued. 'I don't know if everyone is familiar with her, so I'm glad they're seeing it.'
