PS Plus subscribers can currently claim every game released in January 2023 from the Essential Tier’s A Plague Tale: Requiem to the Extra Tier’s Resident Evil 2. Of course, there may be plenty of PS Plus fans who are already looking ahead to the next set of reveals. Sony is expected to reveal the PS Plus free games for February 2024 on January 31 ahead of their addition on February 6, so while there’s a wait ahead, it’s one filled with anticipation.
Not every month has been created equal, but it would be fair to say that since the introduction of the tiered system, the monthly offerings have kept up in terms of quality and quantity. PS Plus Premium usually comes in with a couple of nostalgia-filled titles, PS Plus Extra comes in with a ton of heavy-hitters, and the base version of PS Plus ensures that everyone gets a little something. It’s impossible to guess what those little somethings will be, but luckily, Sony has already revealed one game for February. There are a couple more that would do well to complement it too.

The Best Online Co-Op Games On PlayStation Plus Extra & Premium (January 2024)
Looking for an online co-op game to play with a few friends? Then these are the best options on PS Plus.
PS Plus Has Already Confirmed One Free Game for February 2024
Sony rarely reveals a game ahead of time, but when it does, it’s usually for day-one titles like Stray. That’s the case with Square Enix’s Foamstars, which launches day one on the PS Plus Essential tier come February 6. Foamstars is an online 4v4 party shooter with similar elements to both Splatoon and Overwatch. It’ll launch with three game modes for fans to try, and it’ll be interesting to see how the day-one community receives the title.
PS Plus Free Game for February 2024 Wish List
- Lost in Random
- Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach
The other two games could be just about anything, but Lost in Random and Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach would pair well with Foamstars.
Lost in Random is an action-adventure game where everything is controlled via dice, a fun conceit many Baldur’s Gate 3 fans would perhaps enjoy. Its gothic fairytale approach ensures there’s a nice tonal difference between the two games, while it being a single-player game would give non-multiplayer fans something to enjoy. In it, players take on the role of Even as she seeks to save her sister, Odd, in a kingdom ruled by a wicked queen. The parallels with fairytales at large are easily noticeable, but the distinction is too.
Meanwhile, it would be nice to complement these two games with something less action-focused, and it’s hard to say no to a free horror game. Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach would be a good pick, as many fans may want to go back to it (if they no longer own it) after the release of the RUIN DLC last year. A touch of multiplayer chaos, a solid single-player adventure, and a few scares would go a long way for many PS Plus subscribers in February.
PS Plus Extra and Premium Games Wish List
- PS5: Ghost of Tsushima seems unlikely, but it would make a great addition as fans cling to any hopes of a proper Ghost of Tsushima sequel.
- PS4: Conan Chop Chop is a silly roguelike game, but one that would do great as levity on the service.
- PS3: Jak and Daxter Collection is a solid pick for nostalgia. Uncharted 3 would pair well, especially since upgraded versions of The Lost Legacy and Thief’s End are also available on the service.
- PSP: Not the most popular title in the franchise, Jak and Daxter: The Last Frontier would at least complement the Collection well.
- PS2: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Warrior Within, and The Two Thrones would be good picks after the release of The Lost Crown.
- PS1: Rally Cross 2 seems like a solid pick after PS Plus Premium added the first game in January.
PS Plus subscribers get a handful of games every month.
