Amazon has revealed the games you can play as part of a Prime Gaming subscription this month, and there’s some pretty good stuff in there.
The “Free Games with Prime” lineup includes four games, and there’s a little something for various tastes, with environmentalist adventuring, retro nostalgia, and more on offer.
First up, starting from today, you can play the eco-friendly adventure Endling: Extinction is Forever via the Amazon Games app. Fair warning, though: it’s not a particularly uplifting experience.
If you’re looking for a slightly less emotionally devastating experience, then the beekeeping management sim Apico becomes available via Prime Gaming on January 11th. Again, you’ll need the Amazon Games app for that.
On January 18th, retro minigame collection Atari Mania heads to Prime Gaming, and you can play it via the Epic Games Store.
Lastly for the Free Games with Prime lineup in January, it’s another retro Atari title in the form of Yars: Recharged, a reworked version of the classic 1982 arcade game.
That’s not all, though. If you’re in the US, the UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, or Spain, you can play a lineup of games via the Amazon Luna streaming service with Prime Gaming as well.
The Amazon Luna lineup this month includes farming action RPG Kitaria Fables, which should make a nice change from the high-octane retro antics of the Atari titles.
Remedy’s sprawling Metroidvania-style action-adventure game Control: Ultimate Edition is also included, and it comes with both DLC packs, so you can enjoy an expanded version of the original 2019 game.
Rounding off the Luna offerings this month are retro-style beat-‘em-up RPG Young Souls and remade platformer Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap.
All of the Amazon Luna titles outlined above should be available to stream right now, so make sure to check them out if you’re interested (and if you’ve got a solid internet connection, of course).
