Pokemon Fan Designs Incredible Paradox Form for Heliolisk

Highlights

  • A Pokemon fan creates a Paradox form for Heliolisk called Wicked Glare, giving it a menacing appearance with a yellow body and a frill designed like eyes with red spikes.
  • Wicked Glare is described as a billion-year-old Normal/Dark-type Pokemon that loves sunlight, has a big appetite, and acts like a ruffian despite being a coward.
  • OP plans to create Paradox forms for other Pokemon like Scyther, Rayquaza, and Deoxys as part of their project, but Heliolisk is not available in Gen 9.

A Pokemon fan has made a Paradox form for Heliolisk and has shared the result with the Pokemon community. With the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the Paradox Pokemon gimmick was introduced, which has become one of the Pokemon community’s favorite themes for creating fan art. The result has been a series of creative fan art, imagining alternative forms for the Game Freak monsters.

One of these Pokemon that got new fan art was Heliolisk. Presented in Gen 6, this Electric/Normal-type Pokemon is the evolution of Helioptile when exposed to a Stun Stone. What fans get is a bipedal creature with the appearance of a lizard, a black head and neck, and the rest of its body yellow. But what sets Heliolisk apart is the frill on its head, which can generate incredible amounts of electricity. This frill makes the Pokemon even more similar to the Dilophosaurus, a dinosaur that became known as the largest predator of its time in the Jurassic Period. Heliolisk has few appearances in anime and games, but the most notable passage of this Pokemon based on a dinosaur is the Heliolisk that Clemont has in the Pokemon X and Y anime.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet confirm a new Tera Raid event ahead of the new DLC next week, and trainers will battle two Legendary Pokemon.

Reddit user El-psy-congroo-01 created a Paradox form for Heliolisk called Wicked Glare. This Past Paradox Pokemon looks very similar to its counterpart but with a yellow body and white knees and lower body. Both forms of Heliolisk have blue eyes, but Wicked Glare’s distinctive design gives the Pokemon an even more menacing look. Its tail has a black tip and a few red spikes. But what’s most impressive about Wicked Glare is its incredible frill, with a design that reproduces eyes and has red spikes around it. While Heliolisk is one of the most underrated Electric-type Pokemon in the franchise, this design highlights the monster’s menacing nature.

As well as creating an impressive Paradox form for Heliolisk, the OP developed a Pokedex entry and some stats for it. Wicked Glare is a billion-year-old Normal/Dark-type Pokemon that is one of the oldest Pokemon predators in existence. According to its Pokedex entry, this Pokemon loves sunlight, has a big appetite, and acts like a ruffian despite being a coward. El-psy-congroo-01 is a well-known name in the community with their fan art of new Paradox Pokemon forms. They also revealed that Wicked Glare is part of a project that includes other Paradox Pokemon like Scyther, Rayquaza, and Deoxys.

Heliolisk is not available in Gen 9, but players who are looking to catch electric critters in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have several other options. In Paldea, players will find familiar names like Pikachu, Ampharos, and Shinx, and new pocket monsters like Pawmo and Tadbulb. Another Electric-type Pokemon that will be added with the release of the Indigo Disk DLC is Raging Bolt, Raikou’s Paradox form.
