A fan of the Pokemon series has shared their vision of a futuristic Paradox form for Rhydon. Gamers have been imagining their own alternate takes for a number of different pocket monsters since the start of the franchise’s 9th Generation. Players have come up with very interesting Paradox Pokemon that help demonstrate the imaginations of the series’ fan base, as well as their dedication to the games.

The Pokemon Rhydon was one of the original 151 pocket monsters to release in the franchise’s debut. The critter is Ground/Rock-Type and was one of the first creatures to be created by Ken Sugimori, who served as a designer for the games. Rhydon evolves from Rhyhorn and was given an evolution in the form of Rhyperior in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

Pokemon Fan Creates Futuristic Mecha Form for Eevee

A Paradox Pokemon-inspired Eevee redesign created by one talented Pokemon fan artist shows what a robotic form for the fluffy critter could look like.

A Redditor named El-psy-congroo-01 shared their design for a future Paradox form for Rhydon. The Pokemon has been changed to be Rock/Fighting-Type and was renamed Iron Drill. The pocket monster now looks as if it is made of metal and a glowing material. It still keeps a number of Rhydon’s physical characteristics, including the horn on its head, which El-psy-congroo-01 has made much larger in their Paradox design. The artist also created a Shiny version for Iron Drill, which features lighter colors on many of its body parts.

El-psy-congroo-01’s post is nearing 1,000 upvotes, showing that the Pokemon community is enjoying their take on a futuristic Rhydon. Many commenters are complimenting the artist on their work, with some stating that it looks like an official design. One gamer said that they would incorporate Iron Drill into one of their teams, which hardly feature Fighting-Type Pokemon as they have not found many that they liked. El-psy-congroo-01 did a good job on their version of a futuristic Rhydon that honors the original while adding many features that help it stand on its own.

El-psy-congroo-01 has done designs for a number of other Paradox Pokemon, which includes both futuristic and past versions for different pocket monsters like Rayquaza, Deoxys, and Yanmega. The artist also comes up with a Shiny version for every concept that they create, which is a little bonus to go along with their work. El-psy-congroo-01 does a great job of keeping the aspects of the Pokemon they redesign that make them memorable while also injecting new details to help give them either a futuristic or prehistoric feel. Hopefully, the artist will continue making Paradox forms for various pocket monsters that can be enjoyed by those who love the series and want to see their favorite critters get a makeover.
