Today, Jupiter announced that it’s developing Picross S+, which will combine all of the past entries in the 3DS lineup into a single package for Switch.
With the closure of the 3DS eShop, there’s currently no way for new players to experience the Picross e games. This is what the upcoming Switch edition is looking to remedy.
Jupiter has confirmed that the base content, featuring the puzzles from Picross e, will be sold for $4.99 / £3.99 / €4.99. Each subsequent entry in the 3DS series is planned to be released as individual additional paid content packages priced at the same cost. In each pack, players can access the 150 Picross and Mega Picross puzzles from their respective title.
Something else that’s noteworthy here is that Picross e9 will be made available. Up until now, that one has only been released on the 3DS eShop in Japan.
Picross S+ launches for Switch sometime in 2024. We’ll report back once a final release date is set.
