Nineties pop icon Bala Abdul is 'recovering well' after a series of injuries.

The injuries were so bad that they forced her to cancel her highly anticipated tour.

The 62-year-old pop star was due to kick off her Straight Up! To tour Canada at the end of September. But she pulled the plug a few weeks ago because she had to have surgery and now has one more to go.

'I am recovering well. I've already had a procedure done,' she told Us Weekly.

'I still have one more to go, but I promise eight weeks I'll be Humpty Dumpty again.'

But the Opposites Attract hitmaker – who returned to touring in 2018 after nearly 30 years – is sure he'll be back on the road as soon as he can.

Because he is eager to visit other parts of the world and perform for his fans all over the world.

She said: 'I've had a great time coming out of this tour and still getting to see the rest of the world and perform in front.'

Abdul looked gorgeous in a black mini dress, stockings and platform heels on Wednesday at the 10th annual The Stars Awards at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.

The 21-date tour kicks off on September 25 in Victoria, British Columbia and wraps up on October 26. Sydney Nova Scotia.

He wrote on Instagram: 'It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I have to share with you an update on some of my recent injuries.

'In an ongoing effort, I've had targeted injections that gave me temporary relief, but the demands of a full tour are a different story.

'After many consultations with my doctors and exploring all available options, I was advised that one of my injuries required a minor procedure, followed by a recovery time of 6-8 weeks.

'So that would prevent it from going straight up! Canada tour and dates in Alaska and North Dakota. '

Abdul's tour was canceled after he completed a grueling stint as the opening act for New Kids on Black's The Magic Summer 2024 tour in North America.

He joined the beloved '90s boy band – featuring Tony Wahlberg, Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Danny Wood and Joey McIntyre – for 42 concerts with DJ Jazzy Jeff.
