For Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany, a busy fall means babysitters are needed. Even if that caregiver supports you Kamala Harris.

Patrick said his three-year-old daughter Sterling Skye has been baking with Taylor Swift since the pop star started dating her teammate Travis Kelce last season, during an appearance on the latest episode of the Lead podcast. Many of Swift's online fan sites contributed to the spread of Mahomes' initial screenshots, as did Trump's political platform, prompting much of the backlash against Swift's friend.

Swift endorsed Democratic candidates in 2018, while in the 2018 US midterm elections, she endorsed Democratic candidates Phil Bredesen and Jim Cooper in Tennessee.

Swift's endorsement of Harris sparked a loud response from former President Trump, whom Mahomes supported. On September 15, Trump posted a message on his social media platform Truth that read, “I hate Taylor Swift,” and on September 11, in an interview with “Fox & Friends,” the former president said he “likes Mahomes a lot more” than Swift.

Patrick defended and praised his wife's political influence after she praised Trump on Swift on 9/11.

“I think you can see that Britney does a lot for the community,” the 28-year-old QB said.

“I do a lot in the community to highlight people and give them a chance to use their voice,” she said. “In political times, people will use things here and there, but I can't let that affect how I go about my business every day and try to protect it as best I can.”

Patrick said he wouldn't support any political candidate himself, but encouraged Americans to do what's right “for their families.”

On an episode of the “Whoop” podcast, Brittany said she relies on her husband, a three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback, to help her through the recent public scrutiny.

“He was very helpful in helping me get through it because he's so good at dealing with things like that, blocking people and things like that,” he said. “Having him by my side, guiding me and coaching me through it has helped a lot. I think we kind of got to where we are now.”

“I think the most important thing he always told me was, 'Stop caring what people think, especially people who don't know you,'” she said. “I think I used to be very drawn to social media, and now I honestly don't care what people say about me.”
