New viral political video in which men declare they are 'man enough' to support them Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign is packed with Hollywood actors and comedians.
A grassroots ad released last week by former producer Jimmy Kimmel has racked up millions of views on social media, with critics blasting the video supporting Harris as “the most shocking political ad ever created.” The film's director said it was made for the group Creatives for Harris, adding that even though the film is a joke, its message “is true.”
According to a disclaimer included in the 90-second video, the video was not authorized by any candidate or campaign committee but was shot as if it were an official campaign ad.
It features six supposedly manly men who claim to be manly enough to eat “carburetors for breakfast” and “aren't afraid of bears,” while also claiming they aren't afraid of women and will support Harris in the Oval Office.
Harris-supporting 'MAN ENOUGH' VIDEO mocked as 'the most shocking political ad ever created'
The video was slammed by conservatives and other critics on social media last week, who questioned it was a parody and claimed Democrats “I have no idea how real men talk.”
FOX company for example, senior correspondent Charles Gasparino noted: “It is so strange that those on the political left who have been proselytizing hoi poi for years, that men can be women and women can be men, that men can compete in women's sports because we are all beings genderless, now they think they have the credibility to say what a real man is all about. I'm sorry you screwed it up years ago.
“The Kamala ad is a must-see,” joked David Reaboi, a fellow at the Claremont Institute. “Not only do they have no idea how real men talk, but they couldn't find any convincing male actors.”
The original YouTube page details that the men appearing in the unofficial ad are cast members of the film, along with the names of the actors: Winston Carter, Chris Gibson, Lanre Idewu, Tony Ketcham, Mike Leffingwell and Wayland McQueen.
Found Fox News Digital IMDB Pages for the actors most of them appeared in supporting roles in Hollywood films or in low budget films or short music videos.
For example, according to his IMDB page, Winston Carter, the actor who played the stout man with the cowboy hat, appeared in several low-budget films and short music videos starting in 2011. Actor Tony Ketcham, who plays an older man who is unashamed of his love of “West Side Story” and support for Harris, also has an IMDB page with credits for cameo roles in films such as “Ghost World,” in in which he played the role of “alcoholic client” in the 2001 film and an episode of “The X-Files” from the same year.
In the film, Lanre Idewu plays a gym-going guy who is “man enough to do 500 deadlifts and then braid his daughter's hair.” He has an extensive IMDB page with credits ranging from a 2006 episode of “Arrested Development” to his work as a producer on a Hallmark Christmas movie. Idewu also posted photos of Democratic elected officials on his social media pages, including: President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

Two of the actors featured in the video are members of the Upright Citizens Brigade, an improv comedy group based in Los Angeles. Wayland McQueen portrayed a farmer surrounded by hay bales and is listed as a current member of the comedy brigade, in which he has appeared since 2008. Social media users who also checked out the actors in the ad discovered that McQueen had reportedly tweeted about identifying and acknowledging “white privilege.”
According to the comedy group's website, Mike Leffingwell, who in an unofficial campaign ad declares while standing next to a horse that he's “absolutely sure he's not afraid” of women, is another member of the Upright Citizens Brigade. His bio on the site reads in part: Leffingwell “has written cartoons for Dreamworks and Netflix, jokes for the Onion and The Late Late Show, and a series of Shorty Award-winning commercials for Tubi. On TV he has appeared on The Goldbergs, Conan and commercials for many exciting products.”

The sixth man listed as an actor in the film, Chris Gibson, also appears to be an actor, and Fox Digital found several IMDB pages touting actors with that name, but could not confirm which one allegedly belongs to the man in the ad.

Some social media users pointed out over the weekend that the film featured actors playing virile men supporting Harris, sparking a new wave of criticism online.
“The campaign is very fake and they even have to pretend to be falsely enthusiastic. They are so bad at it. Do they really not know Google exists? Wow,” one X account posted in response to a thread detailing the actors in the film.
“This explains why progressives don't know who a real man is” another posted.
“Everything they do is fake,” another said.
The ad was created by Jacob Reed, who worked as a director on “Funny or Die” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” He told Fast Company last week that the ad was made for Creatives for Harris, a grassroots group of producers, writers and advertising executives supporting Harris.
Reed went on to write that the video's substack is “more of a sketch comedy than a political ad,” before adding that “what these men say is true.”
“With role models like Tim Walz and Doug Emhoff emerging on the national scene, I think the left is finally finding its feet on how to talk about masculinity. I think we're overdue for redefining what it means to be human in America, and I hope this campaign begins to shape that conversation. Even though this is more of a comedy than a political ad, what these men say is true – except that they are afraid of bears. Reed published a post in which he referred to people who worked on the project as “volunteers.”
