During the W interview, journalist Kyle Manchenrider asked about their 2005 feud and whether it was addressed in the reboot.
Nicole said: 'Will Smith and Aunt Viv don't need to sit down. I know that was a huge part for followers of The Simple Life. There was a whole season where we didn't film together.'
Adding: 'But our lives are tied together outside of it. Our relationship lasted almost 40 years. So for us, I think it's a bit of a stumbling block.
Paris replied: 'The media at that time was all about creating animosity between people, exaggerating and inventing stories to sell tabloids.'
She continued: 'The world is definitely making a bigger deal of it than it really is. Nicole and I have been best friends since we were two years old. She's like my sister.'

At the time, A People told Insider Magazine that Nicole was jealous that Paris had been invited to Saturday Night Live in February 2005 and received more media attention than her.
The insider said Nicole screened Paris' 2003 sex tape at a party she threw, but Nicole's reps denied that happened.
Another source claims their feud was growing out of Nicole's wild child partying ways and wanting to spend time with her fiance Adam Goldstein.

Paris told W magazine at the time, 'There was no reason why we fought, it was funny. We believed what others said. People in this town are really two-faced, they tried to play us against each other. It upset me more than any breakup with a boyfriend. It was like the worst feeling ever.'
Season five (the final season) of The Simple Life aired in 2007, and the two finally got back together to film.

During the upcoming reboot, Paris and Nicole stage an opera, which Nicole says comes from their inside jokes.
When they were seven years old, they wrote a song called Sanasa, a word that became a joke among them and was heard in simple life.
'Sanasa is an opera that people want, even if they don't know it yet.'
They joked that they are planning to have a better 50th anniversary celebration in the future.
On the upcoming show, Nicole said that she is excited to film the show with her friend and laugh and have fun together.
