As Palworld continues to make waves in the gaming world, fans are showcasing some of their iconic moments and clips online and sharing them with the community – including one player who’s boss encounter went far better than they expected.
In a thread entitled “See ya later Kingpaca!” one user posted a clip of them fighting a Melpaca a little too close to the level 23 boss Kingpaca’s territory, causing the much larger and tougher boss to aggro on them. Attempting to avoid their ire, the player makes the decision to try and capture a second Melpaca in the vicinity, but just as they do – the Kingpaca leaps towards them and lands right on top of the Sphere as it goes through the capture animation. When it ends, the Sphere actually launches the hapless boss into the air, and the subsequent fall damage kills them in one shot in a hilarious visual.
The clip has been met with equal parts hilarity and praise online for the OP unintentionally coming up with such an ingenious method to defeat a boss. “Betrayed by his own subject!” comments Eveneth. “That’s how I’m supposed to do it – I was having a hard time with that fight!” adds dDogStar568 while another user comes up with an incredible pun we have to show our appreciation for: “Kerpal Space Program.”
The clip has also had the benefit of opening players’ eyes to potential new boss strategies. “I found out the hard way that bosses also take fall damage,” reveals TuffHunter. “My pal froze an alpha and when I hit it with a rocket the alpha was sent to the stratosphere.” “This must be the strat for taking down the early game lawn elephant” suggests Vapemustache – so we’ll have to see if it results in some brilliant new strategies in the days to come.
