Highlights
- Some vocal Palworld players are asking Pocketpair to add corner roofs to the hit game.
- Other types of corner assets such as walls, foundations, and staircases have also been requested by the fandom.
- Palworld remains an early access game, so many of its features are expected to improve in the future.
A vocal portion of the Palworld fandom has recently taken to social media to ask Pocketpair to add corner roofs and a few other junction assets to the hit game. Their pleas add to the list of feature requests that Palworld players have put together to date.
While the recent wave of accusations of Palworld ripping off Pokemon could make one think otherwise, Pocketpair’s latest release is first and foremost a survival crafting game reminiscent of Rust and Ark: Survival Evolved. It hence features building mechanics that allow players to construct a wide array of structures, although some players have so far opined that the current state of that system leaves a bit to be desired. This sentiment gave rise to an influx of feature requests and suggestions for improving the game’s building mechanics.
Dedicated Player Builds Huge City in Palworld
A dedicated Palworld player builds a ridiculously massive city that elicits reactions ranging from praise to utter disbelief.
Palworld Players Want More Corner Building Structures
The latest such proposal comes from Reddit user silver-potato-kebab-, who asked Pocketpair to add corner roofs to Palworld. Their suggestion garnered over 4,700 upvotes within 24 hours of going live and promptly ended up on the front page of the game’s largest unofficial subreddit, indicating that many fans are very much on board with the idea. Following up on silver-potato-kebab-‘s train of thought, some fans have also argued that the Palworld building mechanics would be greatly improved with the addition of other corner structures: staircases, foundations, walls, and the like.
Meanwhile, others have used the post as an opportunity to advocate for other types of assets that they would like to incorporate into their Palworld buildings, including railings, pillars, and ladders. “I’m tired of just free-climbing my walls,” wrote Reddit user Sora762 as part of their argument for the inclusion of ladders.
Palworld Building Mechanics Are Likely To Improve in the Future
Although Pocketpair hasn’t officially responded to this latest influx of fan requests, the developer has often reiterated that its survival crafting game will receive plenty of updates in the future. The Japanese developer has also been happy to chat up the fandom since its latest title was released in January, so it is plausibly already aware that many fans want to see changes to the game’s building system. The likelihood of Palworld‘s base-building features being improved throughout early access hence seems fairly high.
While the current system remains somewhat underbaked, that hasn’t stopped all players from putting together some incredibly impressive structures. Specifically, the Palworld fandom has so far built everything from maximum security prisons and unraidable bases to elevators and absolutely gigantic cities. With the game still enjoying a massive number of daily players, this influx of awe-inspiring buildings isn’t likely to stop anytime soon.
