Palworld’s enjoyed massive success since it launched a few weeks ago, but with that success comes increased scrutiny from the community. Despite the survival title being in early access, many players are begging for fixes quick sharp to some crucial issues they’ve been flagging up in the game’s official channels.
One such issue has been raised by TorSenex, saying that the current condensing system isn’t as useful as it could be. The system currently allows you to ‘condense’ Pals – for example, ones you already own multiple of – to make others stronger. However, it seems that currently players aren’t getting a good enough ratio for the Pals they’re sacrificing with 2 stars and more only contributing about the same as a 1 star. “When clearing space, I discovered that Pals that have been ‘condensed’ into multi-star only count as 1 pal essence. My grievance with that is that when targeting 3 or 4 stars, you need 32 or 64 essences respectively. If they are all zero stars, that’s 2+ pages of the same pal.” – a major issue, when it’s pretty easy to fill your Pal Boxes up to capacity fairly quickly.
“100% agree,” says Jrec15. “Its actually significantly impacting my enjoyment of the game. Because my palbox is full i feel like i have to start breeding/condensing right now to make best use of the pals…. But honestly id rather not that feels like end game content.” “I too would like some sort of way to condense stuff easier,” adds omguserius. “My problem is I don’t have the space. Selling stuff off to make space for stuff you aren’t going to keep feels bad. I don’t like having to empty 2 pages just to fill it with sacrifices.”
In fact, the condenser seems to be a point of contention for many of the game’s fanbase, with some offering their own suggestions on how the mechanic could be improved. “Let us turn unwanted pals into ” Chillet Essence ” and have it stack like pal souls in the inventory,” says Icy_Cow_4636 “You can then just build a refined metal chest next to the contender to stack the essence of types you want to upgrade later.”
Of course, Palworld is in early access at the moment – so we can expect developers Pocket Pair to be continuously tweaking and changing how the system works. For now, we’ll have to wait and see if they take the community’s suggestions on board.
