After a few weeks without a patch thanks to holidays in Japan plus natural development time, Palworld recently received update 0.1.5.0. It was a highly-anticipated patch that fixed many problems and also improved upon areas fans had clamored for. However, the Palworld devs are sorry that the update also unintentionally fixed a bug fans wish wasn’t fixed.

You can find the patch notes for 0.1.5.0 online. The developer has confirmed that they are rolling back a controversial fix from the patch, and they have acknowledged a newly introduced issue you need to be aware of in regard to the default work speed of your minions.

In addition to all of the above, there is also a fix that has fans screaming ‘no’ in despair as it removed one of the easiest ways to farm gold. While all of these were intentional on the part of Pocketpair, they didn’t intend to fix this one Palworld bug, and they are sorry for ironing it out.

Palworld dev apologizes for unintentionally fixing bug

Palworld developer Pocketpair has apologized for unintentionally fixing a bug that allowed players to capture the tower boss. This bug was fixed in update 0.1.5.0, and the developer posted their apology on the Palworld_EN Twitter account.

Their message said that it ‘was unintentionally fixed’ and ‘We apologize for inadvertently fixing a bug’. It is admittedly strange to hear a developer apologize for essentially fixing their game, but it is also wholesome on their part as the bug wasn’t game-breaking nor was it affecting anyone’s experience. It’s sweet to know the developers were aware of it and were happy for people just to enjoy the bug.

While the developer has acknowledged other issues in the update that they will roll back, they haven’t suggested that they will roll back the ability to capture the tower boss. This is a shame, but it’s also understandable as it’s not something the developer intended.

Fans reacted to no more capturing tower bosses on Reddit, and the good news is that any tower boss you captured before the update will still remain at your base. Although there’s no word from Pocketpair, fans have speculated the ability to capture tower bosses may return but perhaps nerfed.

In other Palworld news, a fan has found a secret unused dungeon that you can build a base inside. There is an ongoing competition for fans to win a custom Palworld Xbox console and controller, and Pocketpair has good news for fans craving new content.

Palworld is available on Steam, along with Xbox and PC via Xbox Game Pass.
