Outmaway Valley is a course in Super Mario Wonder‘s Fluff-Puff Peaks, and it is home to three Wonder Seeds and three Purple Flower Coins. While none of these collectibles are extremely difficult to obtain, players that want to collect them all will need to complete the course at least twice. This guide is here to elaborate upon that statement, and it will help players earn all the Wonder Seeds and Purple Flower Coins in Super Mario Wonder‘s Outmaway Valley.
Updated December 13th, 2023: There are a lot of flower coins to collect in Super Mario Bros. Wonder with some of them being a bit more difficult to locate than others. Those who want to 100 percent the entire game will need to find these special collectibles across all levels, including Outmaway Valley. To better show how to get all the purple coins in Outwamay Valley in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the following guide has been updated with a companion video.
Outmaway Valley Purple Flower Coin #1
Not long after starting the Outmaway Valley course, Mario Wonder players will encounter a tall wooden structure with a handle near its top. Fans should jump up to that handle, grab it, and pull out the attached rope to reveal the first Purple Flower Coin.
Outmaway Valley Purple Flower Coin #2
There are two yellow pipes in the first half of Outmaway Valley, and there is a large hole in the ground just beyond the second of those pipes. Players should fall into that hole to access the subarea with the second Purple Flower Coin.
Outmaway Valley Purple Flower Coin #3
Players will encounter an enemy kicking large blocks of ice just after crossing the course’s checkpoint, and they can ride that block directly to the third Purple Flower Coin. Notably, Mario Wonder‘s Add ! Blocks Badge makes riding the ice block unnecessary, as fans can simply use the additional ! Blocks to jump to the collectible.
Outmaway Valley Wonder Seed #1
With all three Purple Flower Coins collected, players should continue progressing through the level until they reach a large stationary block of ice. This block can be broken with ground pounds or a Mario Wonder power-up, and there is a glowing spot underneath it. Hitting that spot with a ground pound will trigger the level’s Wonder Flower event, which culminates in the acquisition of the first Wonder Seed.
Outmaway Valley Wonder Seed #2
Players can procure the second Wonder Seed by completing the Outmaway Valley course without triggering the Wonder Flower event.
Outmaway Valley Wonder Seed #3
Players can procure the third Wonder Seed by completing the Outmaway Valley course after triggering the Wonder Flower event. Notably, fans that are going for 100% completion of Mario Wonder should plan to touch the top of the flagpole while pursuing this collectible, as it can easily be reached by jumping from the platform that is covered with small ice blocks.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
