The heartbroken parents of a six-year-old girl who died in a house fire have paid tribute to their “happy, smiling ray of sunshine”.
The body of tragic Chamiah Brindley was discovered inside a property on Bedale Drive, Leicester, in the early hours of September 10th.
A 14-year-old girl was originally arrested on suspicion of arson, but was released without further action after firefighters established that the fire started accidentally.

Today, the student's devastated parents paid tribute to her in a statement released by Leicestershire Police.
Chamiah’s mother said: “Chamiah, known as Miah, was the happiest, smileiest little girl anyone could ever meet.
“She was a very inquisitive and inquisitive little girl, always wondering what was going on in the world.
'Chamiah loved food and would always try everything.
“She was one of 11 siblings, loved her brothers and sisters, and was especially close to her older brother Dre since they were close in age.
Friends and neighbors rallied to support the family after the fire, with many saying tragic Chamiah was adorable and beautiful
'She loved school, participating in activities and running down the street with her siblings and friends.'
The heartbroken mother added that her daughter was “very outspoken and not afraid to tell people what she thought.”
'She was the ray of sunshine that shone when the day was cloudy.
'Miah was loved by everyone and is greatly missed.'
The young man's father added: 'Chamiah was full of life and very loving, extremely affectionate, full of smiles for everyone, always happy and playing.
'It's still hard for me to accept what happened and it's still not real to me that my daughter is gone and I will never see her again.
'I will miss my daughter very much, but she will always be in my thoughts and heart.
'Rest in peace my little angel, until we meet again.'
Police were called to the scene at 4.08am by Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, who were present at the address.
Police and firefighters are searching the scene of the fire for clues.
Other people who were at the address at the time were also taken to hospital for treatment as a precaution and have since been discharged.
Shortly after the tragedy, Chamiah's heartbroken uncle, who lives opposite the isolated council estate, sobbed: 'My niece died, we lost her in the fire.'
'It's my sister's house, what happened is horrible. I'm too upset to talk.
A boy, standing next to him in the front yard, said: 'I was there then. I left. I was lucky!
A full investigation was carried out by Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and the force, which concluded that no criminal act had been committed.
Detective Inspector Michael Chandler previously said: “This investigation has been complex, tragic and completely heartbreaking.
'Our thoughts remain with the family and all those going through the most difficult and unimaginable time.
“The family has requested privacy at this time and we ask that this be respected.
'We have carried out extensive and thorough investigations with the fire service and scientific experts over recent weeks in order to establish the circumstances of the fire and find answers for the family as quickly as possible.
“Following these investigations, the investigation concluded that no criminal act was committed. A file will now be prepared for HM Coroner.
'A 14-year-old girl, who was arrested at the scene to enable us to carry out a quick and effective investigation, has now been released without any further action.
“Support will continue to be available to the girl going forward.
'I want to thank everyone, including members of the local community, who have worked with us and supported us during these last few weeks in such sad and shocking circumstances.
'Please continue to speak to us regarding any concerns you have. Thanks.'
Shocked friends and neighbors came together to help support and comfort the heartbroken family.
One mother, who asked not to be named, said: “It’s a close-knit community and many of us know the girl who died, Chamiah Brindley.
“She comes from a large, loving family with many brothers and sisters and went to the nearby primary school.
“She is a beautiful little girl and adored by her mother. My heart goes out to them all. It's a terrible thing to happen.
The woman added: “We don't know how the fire started, but many of us were woken by the sounds of shouting, commotion and engines running here.
“Some neighbors were trying to help get the family to a safe place. There were scenes of hysteria.
As forensic experts searched the terraced house, tearful mourners paid tribute to the scene, including bouquets of flowers, a floral wreath with the girl's name and a pink My Little Pony toy.
One tribute, nestled among cuddly toys, read: 'You are the cutest, we will miss you.'
