Developed by Texan studio Gunfire Games, Remnant 2 released to immense reviews on July 25. Some half a year later, the post-apocalyptic souls-like boasts an aggregate score of 80 (out of 100) on Metacritic, as well as over 31,000 “Very Positive” user reviews on Steam. Gunfire’s latest title was even nominated in the Best Action Game category at The Game Awards 2023, having lost out on this accolade to FromSoftware’s Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon.

Just ahead of its five-month release anniversary, Remnant 2 was treated to a generous 40% discount in late December, bringing it to its lowest-ever price of $29.99 across both PC and consoles. The newly slashed price is valid until at least January 3, when the promo is scheduled to end on the Xbox Store. Remnant: From the Ashes, the 2019 original, received a 70% discount as part of Gearbox Publishing’s ongoing winter sale, as well.
