Olivia Rodrigo indulged in an iconic Australian ritual when she kicked off her Australian tour this week.

The American pop star, 21, opened her sold-out shows in Melbourne on Wednesday night and showed her love for Australia on stage at her second show on Thursday.

Olivia revealed her embrace of classic Aussie traditions before performing her hit song So American at the Rod Laver Arena in front of around 15,000 fans.

'You're the best, you live in the coolest city ever,' she exclaimed.

'I love this city so much. I've been exploring, meeting some of you, I had a great Australian breakfast, very good.

'I tried Tim Tam today for the first time in my life – 10 out of 10, it gets my approval.'

The famous Aussie biscuit is enjoying a resurgence in popularity among international artists who are embracing the Tim Tam Slam tradition.

They've been trying this trend, which involves biting into a biscuit at both ends and using it as a straw, and it's gotten more glowing reviews than Vegemite.

In a TikTok posted on Thursday, Olivia pulled herself together with an original Tim Tam as she tried the iconic Aussie treat for the first time.

She sat cross-legged in her hotel suite, surrounded by six packets of various flavors as she fully embraced tradition.

'Awesome, give me 14 of them,' narrated the audio in the clip.

The video came just hours before he delivered an impressive set list full of fan favorite tracks including Driver's License, Good 4 You and Happier from his debut album Sour.

He also performed his current hits from his acclaimed second album Cuts, including Love Is Imperishing and Get Him Back.

It is believed to be the first time Olivia has performed the song on her Guts tour.

Footage of the unique moment shared on TikTok sent fans of music producer Katarina Walczak and Olivia completely wild around the world.

Many shared their envy that the singer had not seen All I Want perform at other live shows.

The superstar will perform again at the Rod Laver Arena on Sunday and Monday before bringing the party to Sydney's Kudos Bank Arena on October 17, 18, 21 and 22.

A lucky Aussie fan sparked mass envy earlier this week after sharing a personal conversation with the pop star as he wandered the streets of north Melbourne on Tuesday.

She opted for a low-key look for the relaxed outing, eschewing the on-stage glamor and staying hidden in a pair of jeans and a sweater, sneakers and a New York Yankees cap.

The superstar will perform again at the Rod Laver Arena on Sunday and Monday before bringing the party to Sydney's Kudos Bank Arena on October 17, 18, 21 and 22.
