During a pre-campaign stop in Pittsburgh on Thursday, former President Barack Obama was seen offering advice to Black Americans who were not as enthusiastic in their support of Vice President Kamala Harris for president as they were with her in 2008 and 2012.
Obama took a break Later in the afternoon, Sen. Robert P. Casey Jr., D-Pa. at an advertising office in Steel City before going on stage with him.
The prominent Democrat said he has noticed a difference in the tension surrounding the current Democratic candidate, especially among African Americans.
“We still haven’t seen the same kind of energy and participation in every corner of our neighborhoods and communities as we did when we were running,” Obama began.
“Now, I also want to say that it seems clearer with the brothers. So if you don't mind – just for a second, I have to talk to all of you and tell you when you have a choice that's clear: when on the one hand, you have someone who grew up with you, went to college with you, you know. the struggles (and) the pain and joy that come from these experiences…”

According to several reports, Obama then went on to contrast this view – perhaps Harris's – with that of former President Trump.
Appearing to continue his address to black Americans, Obama said the real estate mogul-turned-politician has “consistently neglected not just the community, but you as an individual – and you’re thinking about sitting out?”
The 44th president also said that many people worried about Harris are coming up with “all kinds of reasons and excuses” to stay home or support another candidate.
“The (P)art of this makes me think, and I'm speaking directly to men… that, well, you're not comfortable with the idea of having a woman as president, and you're thinking about other options and other options.
In response to Fox News Channel's comments, “Jesse Waters Primetime” host Jesse Waters said Obama's comments prove that Obama believes Harris “is officially stagnant” in popularity.
“He got caught saying that in Pittsburgh a while ago,” Waters said before playing a clip of Obama.

Additionally, former DeKalb, Georgia County Executive Vernon Jones — a longtime Democrat who joined the Republican Party in 2021 — responded to why should other African Americans vote? Harris.
“No thanks, Beau — the Blacks are done with you and Kamala Harris,” Jones said in part.
Conservative commentator Benny Arthur Johnson called the comments “disgusting.”
“Obama dove into the politics of racism at the last minute,” he said.
In turn, President Biden also caused a sensation when he similarly warned Black Americans ahead of the 2020 elections.
New York radio show “The Breakfast Club” with his Greenville, Del. During a May 2020 home studio interview, Biden commented that his wife, Jill, would soon have to use the same studio.
