Rumours and leaks about Nintendo’s next-gen console have been abundant in recent weeks, and it seems more potential details on the console may now have emerged, courtesy of leaker SoldierDelta, who has previously leaked details on Team Ninja’s upcoming open world action RPG Rise of the Ronin via fellow leaker The Snitch’s Discord server.

As per SoldierDelta (via Reddit and Wccftech), the Nintendo Switch 2 (or whatever it will be called) will launch with two available SKUs as an option. One will be a standard edition, which will allegedly retail for $449, while the other will be an all-digital model, and will retail for a lower price of $399.

The leaker also claims that Nintendo is currently targeting a release date of September 24th next year (which would align with previous reports of the console targeting a launch sometime in the second half of 2024). That said, the leaker also claims that Nintendo also has a November 3 launch penciled in as a backup, should the September launch not pan out as planned.

Of course, as is the case with any leak of such nature (especially one related to Nintendo), it’s best to take this with a grain of salt for now. Though if Nintendo is indeed gearing up to launch the Switch successor within the next 12 months or so, presumably, it won’t be long before official details begin to emerge. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks.
