Nintendo has announced Alarmo, a new interactive alarm clock filled with Nintendo-themed sounds and visuals. It's scheduled to be released early next year, though you'll need to subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online if you want an early chance to get your hands on it.
According to a press release, the Alarmo is “an interactive alarm clock designed to add some Nintendo magic to your home and daily routine.”
It has a motion sensor that responds to movement. Nintendo says you can snooze it “with movement alone,” and you can stop it simply by getting out of bed, without having to press a button.

In firm mode, the alarm will become “progressively more intense the longer you stay in bed,” while gentle mode provides a “more consistent intensity level.” You have to be honest with yourself when you choose the situation you think you will respond best to.
If you prefer the classic alarm experience, you can also put the Alarmo in button mode, which will allow you to press the big button on top to snooze the clock, just like in classic movies.
Linking your Nintendo Account to Alarmo will allow you to download additional scenes accordingly Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons Also, so make sure you do this if you want to wake up to loud noises Animal crossing town.
The Alarmo arrives early next year, and will set you back $100 if you want it. Right now, you'll need a Nintendo Switch Online membership if you want to pick one up, but you'll also be able to purchase Alarmo from the Nintendo Store in New York, and you won't need a membership for that.
