Nicole Kidman pushes Salma Hayek away in a tense moment during Balenciaga Fashion Week in Paris

Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek seemed to be having a tense moment recently at the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week.

The Australian actress, 57, and the Mexican-born actress, 58, posed for photos with Katy Perry39 when the “Big Little Lies” star appeared to get tired of the photos and pushed Hayek's hand away when she tried to hug her.

Kidman and Hayek stood together, arms around each other as they posed for photographers next to Perry. Hayek then tried to turn around to pose with the couple for more photos, but Kidman refused and moved her hand away from her.

Kidman kissed Perry goodbye and left, apparently sharing a few tense words with Hayek. Kidman, who won a best actress Oscar in 2003 for “The Hours” – the same year Hayek was nominated against her for “Frida” – appeared to exchange words at one point.

As Kidman walked away, Hayek was seen saying: “Yes please – advice” – after which Kidman allegedly replied: “You don't need it” and Hayek replied: “Yes.”

Nicole Kidman, 57, and Salma Hayek, 58, apparently had a tense moment at the Balenciaga Paris Fashion Week show last month when the Australian star pushed her hand away as they posed for photos

Hayeka posted a carousel of photos on Instagram on October 1, one in which she posed with Kidman – with awkward body language emanating from both sides.

Hayek didn't smile, and Kidman looked down at the photo, which Hayek captioned: “Finally last night was the grand finale of my Paris Fashion Week 2025… (applause) Balenciaga and Demna for a great show.

The “From Dusk Till Dawn” actress tagged Kidman, Perry and Lindsay Lohan in the post along with the tag itself.

Kidman wore sunglasses, a black bodycon dress with a high neckline, sheer tights and high heels on the runway show.

The event took place last month and was the first time Kidman had been seen since the death of her mother Janelle.

Kidman announced her mother's death hours before receiving the best actress award for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival.

The actress and her sister Antonia shared a touching tribute to their late mother on Instagram, posting several never-before-seen photos of the matriarch.

In her post, Nicole thanked her millions of fans and supporters for expressing their condolences during her time of mourning.

“My sister, I and our family want to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week,” Nicole wrote in a joint statement.

“Every message we received from those who loved and admired our Mother meant more to us than we will ever be able to express.

“We thank our entire family for respecting our privacy as we care for each other.”

Following the devastating news, the Australian actress was forced to leave the Venice Film Festival to return to her native Sydney to be with her family.
