New Helldivers 2 Vehicles and Weapons Leak Online

A new leak reveals several weapons coming soon to Helldivers 2, while also corroborating another new mech and an armored buggy similar to Halo’s iconic Warthog. Helldivers 2 developers at Arrowhead Game Studios are expected to reveal a new roadmap in the near future, giving players an idea of what’s to come for the popular third-person shooter.

Helldivers 2 sales continue to perform strongly as the game approaches its first month after launch. Arrowhead Game Studios originally planned to release a roadmap for the game’s future updates, but Helldivers 2’s meteoric rise in popularity brought a change in plans for the studio. Multiple updates were released to fix matchmaking and server issues, and the roadmap was revised to reflect the developer’s new plans.

A YouTube video filled with leaks about new Helldivers 2 vehicles and weapons was recently published by GameOverDeo, giving fans an inside look into what may come in future updates. Firstly, the leaked footage shows a new pilotable mech, which corroborates a recent Helldivers 2 gameplay leak. The mech comes equipped with a heavy machine gun and a powerful missile launcher, so players can expect to quickly clear out minor enemies while piloting it. A new armored buggy was also shown in the leak, allowing a Helldivers 2 squad to quickly navigate on land and fire at enemies with a mounted machine gun. The armored buggy is drawing the attention of many Helldivers 2 fans online due to the vehicle’s strong similarities to the Warthog from Halo.

The new video compiles many screenshots of the Helldivers 2 weapons that were leaked this past week and taken down on Reddit. The first of these new weapons is the Arc-12 Blitzer, a wide-burst shotgun that fires high-voltage electricity that arcs between multiple enemies and units within range. Players can also expect the SG-8P Punisher Plasma shotgun, which fires powerful and explosive plasma rounds. The weapon’s description notes that this weapon is capable of greatly injuring squadmates, however. The CB-9 Explosive Crossbow and R-36 Erupter battle rifle are other powerful weapons that are seemingly coming soon to Helldivers 2, since the weapons appear to be under testing.

What’s more, GameOverDeo’s video highlights some of the new items that could be available in new Helldivers 2 updates soon. A new BX-7 Displacer Pack is a new backpack item that will teleport the player to safety if a potentially fatal blow from an enemy is within proximity. An equally useful B-1 Supply Pack item will let players replenish their ammo on the field as well.

Helldivers 2 could receive a new customization feature alongside these new vehicles and weapons, but the exact timeframe for these updates is currently unknown. At the very least, the future of Helldivers 2 looks bright with new features and content to come, and the upcoming roadmap should give players some more insight as well.
