Details about the new Call of Duty for 2024 have previously leaked with reports suggesting that the game is called Black Ops Gulf War. It is the next annual release for the series, and CoD fans are understandably excited for its announcement. While it is expected to fully launch in fall, you should be able to play beforehand and the release window for the Call of Duty Black Ops Gulf War beta has possibly leaked.
It’s a really exciting time for the Call of Duty community right now. Activision has just released MW3 Season 3, and it has returned Rebirth Island to Warzone. While the launch of Season 3 is fantastic right now, there is a roadmap of new content yet delivered including a Cheech and Chong bundle.
Modern Warfare 3 was a divisive launch thanks to its short campaign and lack of new content, but hopes are high for Black Ops Gulf War. Official details are very tight-lipped as of writing, but the beta could be coming out in just a few months.
Call of Duty Black Ops Gulf War beta release window leak
The Call of Duty Black Ops Gulf War beta could be happening in August. This comes courtesy of a tweet from MW3CODInformer on Twitter.
Their tweet asks fans ‘Will YOU be playing the Call of Duty Black Ops Gulf War beta in August?’. They also say they will be giving away hundreds of beta codes.
This is by no means official. However, it wouldn’t be too surprising as betas for new Call of Duty installments typically happen in September/October. If it’s the same year as the previous years, there should be a closed beta entry period for players who pre-order followed by an open beta period for everyone to participate.
Although there are no official details as of writing, rumors and reports are very exciting. Reports indicate that it is slated to come out in October, and prominent leaker Tom Henderson has reported for Insider Gaming that it will feature an open-world campaign comparable to Far Cry.
Prominent leaker Tom Henderson says that the open-world will see players and their squad navigate an open-world map ‘more akin to that of Far Cry than anything we’ve seen before in the Call of Duty universe’. There will be vehicles to drive, along with a fast travel system, and the campaign is being developed by Raven Software. There will also be the return of Black Ops characters such as Adler.
In addition to Black Ops Gulf War, Call of Duty games from 2024 up until 2027 have possibly leaked. This again comes courtesy of Insider Gaming who reported the following internal schedule:
- Semi-futuristic Black Ops 2 sequel codenamed Saturn – 2025
- New Call of Duty understood to be from the Modern Warfare universe by Infinity Ward – 2026
- Call of Duty 2027 – Sledgehammer
