After announcing Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition last month, Nintendo provided a more extensive gameplay trailer for the collection of mini-games. However, it also outlined some new features, like Legend Challenges and Survival Mode. Check it out below.
Legend Challenges are meant to test an experienced player’s skills and include tasks like completing Super Mario Bros. in a single run (with Warp Pipes allowed, thankfully). There are even some tips and tricks that provide some assistance. Survival Mode sees the player competing against the ghost data of other players worldwide.
Each round sees the player pool cut by half until only one remains on top. With over 150 regular challenges, Party Mode for up to eight players locally and online leaderboards, Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition has much to offer. It’s out on July 18th for Nintendo Switch, with a Deluxe Set retailing for $59.99. Stay tuned for updates en route to release.
