Necrozma is available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s The Indigo Disk DLC, and we’ve got a post ready here to fill you in on its location.
Though it can’t transform into Ultra Necrozma, it does retain the ability to combine with either Solgaleo or Lunala for its Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings forms, respectively. On that note, once you’ve caught Necrozma, you can purchase the N-Solarizer and N-Lunarizer from the auction house in Porto Marinada. With all that said, let’s get right into our guide on where to find Necrozma in The Indigo Disk DLC.
Necrozma location
As with all of the returning Legendary Pokemon in The Indigo Disk, you encounter Necrozma via Snacksworth, an NPC who appears at the entrance of Blueberry Academy after you clear the main story. Every time you clear a group quest with other players in the Union Circle, you can talk to Snacksworth and receive a legendary snack as a reward. Necrozma is actually exclusive to group quests, meaning you cannot encounter it at all unless you play with friends in the Union Circle feature. Once you’ve received the Necrozma Snack from Snacksworth, you’ll receive a vague hint on its location somewhere in Paldea.
You’ll find the Prism Pokemon on the northwest side of Paldea, as shown via the map above. It’s actually on top of a big cliff toward the side of a waterfall, so you’ll need to use Koraidon or Miraidon to climb up and start the encounter. It’s at Level 70, so make sure you come prepared. It also has Iron Defense and Stored Power, so it might be a good idea to bring a Dark-type so you’ll be immune to its attack. As a reminder, you can always make a Psychic-type Encounter Power sandwich via the Sandwich Calculator if you have trouble catching Necrozma.
