There were some nice ones interesting recent brand collaborations – from Coca-Cola flavored Oreo To Monster Munch Heinz Mayoa now you can add another unexpected pair to the list, for example Nando's has just announced its newest condiment on PERi-PERi-meter.

The iconic chicken chain has teamed up with its iconic soda for a guest spice flavor, and even they admit it's a “weird” drink.

Nando's new flavor is Fanta Orange Zero, launching just in time for the spooky season. According to the chain, it has a “tangy orange flavor with a hint of PERi-PERi” and is “like nothing you've ever seen on a PERi-omiter.”

Nando's x Fanta falls between the mild and medium scale and can be a fruity addition to your Go to order. Alternatively, you can order five Nando's x Fanta Wings (£7.25 separately).

The news was announced on Nando's Instagram account and fans aren't quite sure what to make of the condiment. Some were quick to label it as “bleak,” but others were willing to give it a try.

@jodieonline wrote: “Oh my god I'm not sure but I'm willing to try lmao.” While @diizeh_ simply said, “No bro.”

@vespertineowl replied: “Hmm, not sure what to think. Why can't we just get the mango and lime back permanently?

And @ethanwatkin thought it sounded “griiimmmm.” @c.finnnn had the same opinion but was open to trying it.

Not everyone was against it, as @meganmachine salivated over the orange chicken and @barnes1991 announced, “YESSSSSS FANTA LIGHT PLS BREV!!!”

For those who aren't sure about it, there's good news because it's not the only thing new on the menu, so you can try more.

The chain is also introducing a new starter, the Cheesy Garlic Pitta (£4.75), which was inspired by a hack from Nando's staff. Features a toasted sourdough pitta filled with melting cheddar cheese, garlic, spring onions and a hint of PERi-PERi, served with red pepper chutney.

There is also a new addition to the main menu in the form of the Cheesy Chickle Burger (priced alone at £9.25). Additionally, the grilled chicken breast is covered with melted cheddar cheese, PERi-Ketchup, garlic PERinaise, lettuce and TikTok's favorite fermented snack – herb pickles. All this served in a new, soft Portuguese roll.

There's also an All-in Plate for two (£33.75) and a Churrasco PERinaise Dipping Pot (£1).

The new Nando's menu will launch on October 15 and will be available in all restaurants in the UK and Ireland.

Many other popular British fast food chains have also recently made big changes to their menus.

McDonald's recently announced a new £5 meal deal that will compete with supermarket sandwiches and chips.

As part of the deal you can choose between a Cheeseburger or Chicken Mayoa then you will also receive medium fries, a medium carbonated soft drink and a portion of four Chicken McNuggets for a fixed price.

Maccies also confirmed the beloved McRib is back on the menu from October 16 and the new mini Hash Browns will join the line-up on the same day.

And American chain Wendy's has launched a new autumn menu in the UK with a burger inspired by French onion soup.

The French Onion Cheeseburger (from £5.99) features a juicy quarter-pound patty of British and Irish beef, caramelized onions, two slices of cheese and creamy spicy mayonnaise. It's topped with crispy fried onions for extra flavor and served on a toasted brioche bun.

The current assortment also includes a variation on the iconic Frosty product, which is something between ice cream and a milkshake. The new version is the Frozen Hot Chocolate Frosty (£3.49) and is available in vanilla or chocolate.

Finally, there is a change to the breakfast menu which will see the introduction of a double stack of eggs during breakfast hours, priced from £2.99.
