The first MW3 beta weekend has come and gone, and the consensus towards Activision’s latest CoD installment has been generally favorable. However, no pre-release phase is devoid of player complaints, and a majority of the gripes that the community has had so far revolve around the game’s baffling spawn points and iffy slide animation. Fortunately, Sledgehammer Games has revealed that it plans to address these issues before the second beta weekend kicks off.
Ahead of the Modern Warfare 3 release date, the MW3 developer initially thanked the community for all the feedback that it provided in a post made through the social media website X. They then announced they’d “be back on Thursday with the highly-anticipated return of Highrise, the debut of Cutthroat, and more” during the following weekend. Finally, they concluded their brief statement: “Later this week, you can expect an update on some of the top concerns we’ve observed, including, but not limited to, Operator Visibility, Slide Timing, and Spawn Selection.”
With this in mind, the second beta weekend should present a much smoother experience to all players who plan to join the festivities, including Xbox and PC players. Not only that but several much-anticipated modes and maps are also set to debut during this time, like Cutthroat and Highrise, which means fans should expect even more content once they drop into the MW3 beta again on October 12.
It’s also worth noting that more weapons will become available during the second beta weekend, as Sledgehammer Games will also be raising the MW3 beta max level cap. Naturally, builds like the best AMR9 loadout in MW3, the best Pulemyot 762 loadout in MW3, and the best Longbow loadout in MW3 will then be available for you to use. For now, though, you’ll just have to remain patient until the next pre-release period rolls around, so you can frag out against other players all over again.
