Mortal Kombat 1 launched to solid reception from critics not that long ago, and though some aspects of the fighter have drawn criticism from the community since its launch, it has, unsurprisingly, still seen impressive sales up to this point.

As confirmed by Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav in the company’s recent quarterly earnings call, Mortal Kombat 1 has sold nearly 3 million units worldwide since its release nearly two months ago, on September 19.

Mortal Kombat 1 is, of course, also set to receive plenty of post-launch content in the coming months, with its first DLC fighter, Invincible’s Omni-Man, set to arrive on November 16 (though it looks like alternate skins won’t be included with the DLC).

Mortal Kombat 1 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Read our review of the game through here, where we awarded it a score of 9 out of 10.
