Monster Hunter fans are in for a massive treat after a new entry called Monster Hunter Wilds was announced at The Game Awards 2023. Unfortunately, if you’ve been itching to get your hands on a new beast-slaying open-world adventure, you will have to wait until this new installment reaches your gaming console, as it is only slated for release in 2025.
Luckily, the brief reveal trailer did display plenty of the new monsters you can hunt, mounts you can ride, and weapons you can equip throughout the game, so you should at least be given some idea of what to expect beforehand. It’s also worth noting that the ending portion of Capcom’s teaser only had the PS5 listed as the game’s compatible platform, which could mean that Monster Hunter Wilds will be a PlayStation-exclusive title at launch. With no confirmation yet, though, you will need to take this information with a grain of salt for now.
