Capcom has acknowledged fan interest in an Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth collection that would contain the second game which has never released outside of Japan. However, it’s not comitting to anything official at this time.
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth ended up launching on DS worldwide. However, Ace Attorney Investigations 2 never left Japan. It’s one of the rare games in the series that has yet to be localized.
In an interview with Siliconera, Capcom’s Kenichi Hashimoto said the following when asked about a possible Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth collection: “The development team is aware that fans are hoping for this. Unfortunately, we have no announcements at this time.”
While there’s nothing concrete currently, there is at least some hope. For one thing, Capcom is aware of fan interest as mentioned above. A precedent was also set for Capcom localizing previous Ace Attorney games that were originally Japan-only. The Great Ace Attorney titles on 3DS only launched in Japan, but in 2021, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles came out in English for the first time and on Switch to boot. With Capcom seemingly happy with how the series has been doing, maybe an Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth collection could happen in the future.
