Now that the dust has settled on the announcement, the hard work of securing tickets to one of the band's five shows in Australia and a show in New Zealand begins.

The band, known for their hits Master of Puppets and Enter the Sandman, will play five shows. Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland in November 2025.

Goth metal rockers Evanescent, with hits Bring Me to Life and Going Under, will bring along, as well as thrash pioneers Suicidal Tendencies, best known for Institutionalisation.

General sales begin on November 4 at 12:00 p.m., but members of the band's fan club can get theirs a few days early.

Traditional fan club members can get their tickets for the Perth, Melbourne and Auckland shows from 9am on Tuesday 29 October, and Adelaide, Brisbane from 11am on the same day. Sydney.

FIFTH members can collect their tickets for Perth, Melbourne and Auckland from 11am on Tuesday 29 October for Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney from 1pm.

Fan club pre-sale until Wednesday, October 30 or while supplies last. Members must visit the band's website to obtain a fan club code.

There is a limit of four tickets per person per city.

If you don't like clubs, that's okay, there are options for early risers.

MasterCard, Vodafone Australia and a pre-sale in New Zealand begin on Wednesday, October 30 at 11am (Perth, Melbourne, Auckland) and 1pm (Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney).

Members have access to exclusive pre-booked tickets at Westfield Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland from Monday 4 November.

Meanwhile, pre-sales for Live Nation, Evanescent and Stadium will take place on Friday 1 November from 12pm in Perth, Melbourne and Auckland, and from 2pm in Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney.

If that wasn't enough, the band also offers a variety of 'enhanced experiences' including none other than snake pit tickets.

For $3,998, you get freebies, including a spot in the band's iconic snake pit.

You'll have a backstage meet-and-greet with two band members, a production tour, a pre-show party at the Black Box Lounge, and more.

Next year, the band will perform at Perth's Optus Stadium on November 1, Adelaide Oval on November 5, Melbourne's Marvel Stadium on November 8, Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium on November 12, Sydney's Accor Stadium on November 15 and Auckland's Eden Park on November 15. .

The tour will mark the first time Metallica has hit Australian shores since 2013's Soundwave Festival, where Linkin Park and Blink-182 headlined.

It follows a canceled Australian stadium tour in 2020, with lead singer and rhythm guitarist James Hedfield entering rehab for drug addiction.

“As most of you know, our brother James has struggled with addiction for many years,” a statement at the time read.

'Unfortunately, he has now had to re-enter a treatment program to recover.
