During Sony’s quarterly financial conference call for investors and analysts, CFO and COO Hiroki Totoki announced a sales milestone for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
According to the executive, the game has sold-through to customers over 5 million units worldwide as of October 30.
Totoki-san also added that the game has “become a big hit.”
Marvel’s spider-man 2 was released on October 20, which means that the massive 5 million number was reached in just a bit over a week on the physical and digital store shelves.
This is a significant jump ahead compared to the 2.5 million copies sold on the first day of availability.
Marvel’s spider-man 2 is currently available exclusively for PS5. If yoy’d like to know more, you can read our review.
Our Andrew Stretch was definitely impressed, awarding the game with a glorious 9.5 out of ten, praising the new and improved traversal options, the surprising story beats, the dense worlds, and some nice segments starring Mary Jane Watson.
Incidentally, since suits are a big deal, you can check out a couple of really interesting ones by popular Marvel artists, while famous pop star Rina Sawayama is working on her own original design.
