Blob Card Overview

Blob is an On Reveal Series 5 card with a Cost of six and a Power of four. Upon hitting the board, Blob absorbs the collective Power of all the cards in the deck—removing them for good. Blob is unique in his ability to counter Darkhawk, removing all his buff on turn six or seven.

Pros:

  • The best Darkhawk counter yet.
  • Massive end-game potential.
  • Good fit for Hela decks.

Cons:

  • Risky play.
  • Limited synergies.

How Blob Works

Blob is passive in hand and deck. His effect is triggered upon hitting the board: Merge with all the cards in the deck and absorb their Power. But Blob comes with a restriction: you cannot move him the entire game.

To put that in perspective, assume you have three cards in the deck: The Infinaut, Abomination, and Hulk. On turn six, you draw and play Blob. What happens next is Blob takes up their collective Power, becoming a 45-Power card on its own.

Here are some notes about his mechanics:

  • Sauron will remove all of Blob’s abilities, not just his Ongoing restriction.
  • The cards Blob consumes cannot be resurrected.
  • Blob has no merge limit.
  • Both On Reveal- and Ongoing-affecting cards can trigger him.

Best Synergies for Blob

Blob’s best companions are powerhouses like Hulk, Magneto, Death, and The Infinaut. However, he creates solid synergies with Hela, Sunspot, She-Hulk, Electro, Thanos, and Devil Dinosaur.

Strategy-wise, a Hela or ramp deck with multiple big cards is ideal. Blob thrives in these archetypes as they are guaranteed to have powerful options in the deck for the final round.

Who Should Get Blob in Marvel Snap

Blob is worth the price, especially if you acquire it through Spotlight Caches. However, he’s a niche card that only ramp players can capitalize on. While he’s undoubtedly a dominant card, Blob is too RNG-reliant for an average player. If your big cards leave the deck before round six, he is essentially useless.
