Princess Mette-Marit's son was arrested again on Monday. He has now also been charged with rape. Now he may have to be detained.
Marius Borg Høiby was arrested by police just after 11pm on Monday. Norwegian media are now reporting that police have asked a court for permission to detain the son of the Norwegian Crown Princess.
According to police, Borg Hojby has been held at the central detention center at Grönland police station in Oslo since his arrest, where he was questioned. According to police reports, Marius Borg-Hoibi has now been charged with rape in addition to violence, threats, abuse and violating a restraining order.

Long list of alleged crimes
Høiby was first arrested by police in August 2024. The night before, he was said to have been violent towards a woman, possibly his ex-girlfriend. He is also said to have been involved in a disturbance at his home. He later admitted he “caused bodily harm and destroyed items” while under the influence of alcohol and cocaine.
