Here’s everything we know so far about the new expansion, and its official release date.
Release date for Magic The Gathering: Murders at Karlov Manor
Murders at Karlov Manor will officially be released on February 9, 2024. It’s the first standard set to be released in 2024, making it a momentous occasion.
On December 5, 2023, more information will be released about the set on WeeklyMTG. For now, the set is still relatively mysterious. However, the first look will provide some much-needed info about the set, the cards included in it, and the story it tells.
A double feature
Murders at Karlov Manor feature a murder mystery to play through with the set, but you’ll also be able to solve mysteries with Ravnica: Clue Edition, a crossover releasing alongside the set.
Everything we know about Murders at Karlov Manor
As mentioned above, the set doesn’t have too much information known about it yet, being that it’s still a while before it drops. But, we do know it’s a backdrop set that takes place in Ravnica. The set will be a murder mystery, focusing on solving the murders happening in the manor. You’ll be able to solve puzzles in-game that will help solve the case.
This is the first Ravnica set not focusing on the ten guilds in the city. It will, however, feature some familiar faces based on the artwork for the set. These include Massacre Girl, Judith, Krenko, and Aurelia.
The cards will feature a variety of rarities, including Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Mythic Rares. This is how standard sets are normally done, so we can assume the same for Murders at Karlov Manor.
We can expect that the story will be full of twists and turns that keep players on the edge of their seats. Like any good murder mystery, there’s a killer to find. And, along with taking place in one of the most legendary Magic The Gathering cities, it’s sure to keep players hooked.
