It was a bit of a surprise to see a social media post in which Madden 24 trolls the Dallas Cowboys. Nevertheless, the social media team behind the hit NFL simulator took the opportunity when it came to them. With the team getting obliterated at home in the playoffs, the team’s X page (formerly known as Twitter) offered up an all-time troll.
Madden 24 trolls Dallas after shocking failure
The Dallas Cowboys were heavy favorites to win their home playoff game. After winning the NFC East and securing the second seed in the conference, they got to host the Green Bay Packers. They were a team who barely snuck in as the seven seed.
As any Madden player knows, anything can happen on the field. It just didn’t seem as if the Packers had much of a shot. They’re much better rated in Madden 24 and have better players. They were also three games better in real life and had a better offense and a better defense.
None of that mattered, with the Packers getting up 48-16 at one point. At that time, the game was effectively over. As a result, one of the most epic Madden 24 trolls came to be on social media.
When the game gets out of hand, many players will concede and leave. If it’s an online matchup, they often believe there’s no sense in waiting around for the clock to hit zero when there’s no chance they can come back. Many Cowboys fans might have felt that way at a certain point, and Madden 24 trolled them for the situation.
It’s not uncommon for the Madden community to use this joke when it’s applicable, and it does get thrown around frequently. A prominent NFL outlet posted a video of the 48th point being scored. They edited to say the opponent had left the match. For Madden 24 to do it themselves is a pretty big troll, though.
This game had Madden’s eyes, clearly, and the ratings of several players is likely to change based on the results. Jordan Love is all but assured to go up, as is Aaron Jones, Romeo Doubs, Dontavyion Wicks and Jaire Alexander.
For the Cowboys, their ratings can really only go down. Dak Prescott, Stephon Gilmore, Daron Bland, Micah Parsons, and many others could see some negative regression after this weekend.
That’s all for Madden 24 trolls the Cowboys, but be sure to check out the Playoffs Program in MUT, what’s new in Season 4, and Campus Heroes 2!
