Lionel Richie plans to publish a memoir that will tell of his illustrious nearly six-decade career.
The as-yet-untitled book, according to its publisher HarborOne, will be an 'intimate, deeply honest memoir'.
Richie, 75, is an Academy Award, Grammy and Golden Globe-winning singer-songwriter and a judge on American Idol.
The Endless Love singer 'seeks to inspire all those who doubt themselves or feel their dreams are worthless by recounting the lessons learned during her success stories,' a press release said.
Richie – who recently got hitched to his 34-year-old girlfriend in Spago – was struggling with an achingly shy, tragically late bloomer. His dramatic transformation from ADHD to world-class entertainer and composer of love songs sounds like the soundtrack of our lives.'
Lionel is also father to Nicole and daughters Sofia Richie.

Richie explained to People that he considers himself the 'reluctant hero of my own story.'
The memoir begins when Ritchie was a college student at Tuskegee Institute in Alabama at the height of the civil rights movement, then explores his time as a member of The Commodores before seeing the superstardom that came as a solo artist. In the 1980s.
